Unbalanced AF
ofWelcome to Unbalanced AF, where we pull back the curtain on what it really means to live a “balanced” life—spoiler alert: it’s nothing like it looks on Instagram. We run Balanced Planet Yoga, a place dedicated to grounding, centering, and finding inner peace. But if you think that means we have it all figured out… think again.
I’m Cheryl, a 57-year-old mother of a smallish herd of humans, and I’ve lived through three divorces, rebuilt my life more times than I can count, and finally found love in a way I never expected. My life has been anything but balanced, and honestly? That’s what makes it interesting. And then there’s my daughter, Jenna—my co-host and partner in unbalanced crime. She’s a veteran, a mother of three, and has lived through her own version of WTF-is-this-life?! She’s been through a divorce, but here’s the kicker—she and her ex have the most rocking co-parenting situation on the planet. If there were a medal for turning divorce into a functional, loving, drama-free team effort, she’d have it framed on her wall.
Life doesn’t feel balanced most of the time. It’s a constant push and pull, chaos and calm. And yet, that’s exactly what yoga—and life—is about: embracing the mess, breathing through it, and realizing that balance isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up anyway.
Unbalanced AF is for the overworked, the overwhelmed, and anyone tired of the illusion that we’re all supposed to have it together. It’s real talk, raw stories, and maybe even a little swearing (because, let’s be real, some days just call for it).
Through humor, honesty, and deep conversations, we explore what it means to love, serve, and grow—even when life feels completely Unbalanced AF. So grab a coffee (or a glass of wine), roll out your mat (or just lie down on the floor and stare at the ceiling), and let’s get into it.
Because life isn’t about perfect balance. It’s about learning to fall and get back up—again and again.
