Balanced Planet Yoga is committed to protecting your privacy, and that includes protecting the privacy of any data you share with us. This policy sets out what data we collect, what we do with your data, when and how we store your data, and what you can do if you have questions or wish to exercise rights you have with respect to your data.

Balanced Planet Yoga affiliates only have access to information that you, the data subject, provide at the point of creating an account via the Balanced Planet Yoga website, (, “Contact” or the given that you have not otherwise interacted with those companies. Balanced Planet Yoga does not take responsibility for information provided to its affiliates that were not acquired at the point of registration on the Balanced Planet Yoga website/app or were not provided to us directly using other means of communication.

For example if you register an account with MindBody using or the MindBody app, Balanced Planet Yoga does not take responsibility for personal information provided using those means.

Please note that Balanced Planet Yoga and its affiliates do not ask for or handle sensitive personal information.

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site (“our site”). This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services.
  • Details of transactions you carry out through our site, including invoicing, collecting payment and of the fulfillment of your orders. However, any financial information (including debit and credit card numbers) collected from you is used only in order to authorize payment and bill you for products and services and is not stored by us.
  • Details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, web blogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.

We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our site.

If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.

Balanced Planet Yoga collects your personal information on the lawful basis of legitimate interest. The information we ask for (for example name, date of birth, address, email address) is to ensure our products and services are used as intended and minimizes company loss. (For example it helps us prevent and detect the creation of duplicate accounts and therefore the taking advantage of our offers more than once.)


MindBody (MindBody Inc.) is our Data Processor. Balanced Planet Yoga stores and processes data using the MindBody platform for all our business activities.

As Data Controller Balanced Planet Yoga only allows the processing of your personal data to:

  • Ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.
  • Provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.
  • Carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.
  • Allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you choose to do so.
  • Notify you about changes to our service.

By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. If you are an existing customer, meaning that you registered an account on our website prior to January 21, 2019, we will only contact you by electronic means (e-mail or SMS) with information about goods and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale to you. You can at any time unsubscribe any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” in the emails and following the instructions in the texts. Or by emailing

If you are a new customer, we will contact you by electronic means only if you have clearly consented to this. This is shown by you ticking the relevant box on our registration form. Balanced Planet Yoga does not allow marketing communication to be sent to you from any of our affiliates or other third parties without seeking your consent first.   • Constant Contact
    We use Constant Contact to manage our mailing list for our digital newsletter and other marketing communication. Constant Contact only has access to your name and email address and is not authorized to send you marketing communication in relation to any of their products and services. Information relating to your method of payment

If you pay in studio, your payment is processed through the MindBody Platform.  If you perform a transaction on your own via your mobile device or other method, you are transferred to a secure page on the website through the Mindbody App.

Paying by credit/debit card payment is taken via MindBody’s secured network which is an end-to-end payment solution and Partner to Mindbody for businesses and consumers around the world.

Payment data is fully secure and safe and processed through MindBody which is fully PCI compliant which is the world-wide benchmark mandated by the card schemes for the protection of cardholder identity and transaction information.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

While we keep form submissions for customer service purposes they are never used for marketing purposes or shared with third parties.

If you contact us we will collect the email address you nominate and any other identifying information you provide, such as a name or phone number.

Please do not give us other personal or sensitive information.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Who we share your data with

We don’t share your data with third-parties in a way as to reveal any of your personal information such as email, name, etc.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Instagram Feed WD plugin uses Instagram API on website front end. All the data received from Instagram via API is cached in WordPress database for some short period to provide front-end optimization. You may request us to delete your Instagram data if it is accidentally cached in our website database with hashtag feed data. Instagram saves some cookies in browsers of website visitors via API data. These cookies are mostly used for security purposes. They are regulated under terms of Instagram’s Privacy Policy.”
