BPY is hosting an Aromatherapy Workshop on Sunday, September 27th from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm
Aromatherapy is the use of aromatic plant oils, also called essential oils, to improve mental, spiritual, and physical wellbeing. Aromatherapy combined with yoga can be a powerful way to bring clarity, focus, energy, and stress-relief into our daily life.
Aromatherapy, also known as Essential Oil therapy, can be defined as the art and science of using naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonize and promote the health of body, mind and spirit. The goal of this practice is to bring together physical, psychological and spiritual processes to enhance an individual’s natural healing process.
The National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy has a wealth of information on their website about this practice for those curious about its history and some of the common oils used and their benefits.
Join Heather for an introduction to aromatherapy and essential oils followed by an all-levels moderately active yoga class in which we will explores the various ways to weave the use of essential oils into our practice. And since nothing beats a good savasana, the class will end with a guided yoga nidra with essential oils to leave you in a state of compete relaxation.
