Create a conscious connection to your breath, body and child during your pregnancy with Prenatal Yoga.
Balanced Planet Yoga is thrilled to announce that seasoned yoga teacher, Shannon Harty will be bringing her Prenatal Yoga class to the studio. Shannon’s class is specifically designed for the journey of pregnancy and will combine some childbirth education, breathing techniques to assist during pregnancy, labor and beyond as well as the therapeutic applications of postures to address common aches and pains. A regular practice can bring you more than peace of mind as it has been known to help strengthen the pelvic muscles, improve circulation, aid digestion, exercise the spine and increase your level of physical comfort. Yoga may also help to alleviate some of the discomforts of pregnancy: nausea, constipation, swelling, back pain and sciatica. All of this and the added benefit of a warm & welcoming community of other expecting mothers allows you to connect in a safe and open space to freely discuss any hopes or fears – from discomforts and concerns, to the wonderful new changes your body and baby are experiencing. This class is suitable for all levels of experience and any stage of pregnancy. Feel free to bring a friend, family member, your spouse, significant other or partner along with you so they can see what this class is all about.
Classes will be held on Thursdays at noon beginning on April 16, 2015 at our Marlton, NJ studio. The studio is offering a Prenatal Yoga package – $80 for a 10-pack of classes or you can drop in to any class for $10.
